Default What Router to choose ?

Im in the market for a new router,
currently I have a Makita 3709 trimer its great, light weight and easy to use so I dont want to kill it with heavier work.

current need is mortising for a table legs, using Hardwood, possible mortise width around 12.7mm(1/2in) to 20mm undicided so far, 80x80 timber

Ideally a 1/2in model that I can get a 1/4in collet for it as well

These are some that have tweeked my interst so far

Bosch POF1200AE syd tools have them for $129 but no stock and only 1/4in

Triton JOF001 online price $269 not sure if I can get it yet,
just came across this one looks good seems to have a good variety of spec, but Im a bit concerned about the fence setup. as I want to use it for some mortise work, the fence looks a bit clumsy. any thoughts ?

    AEG 1350e $225 bunnings,

Haitachi M12sa looks good but the price is now creeping up a bit

makita 1/2 in model a bit to pricey

not in the mood for a Ryobi

Its a hard choice but any ideas will help me make up my mind
I like to look of the triton and toughts on the fence?

The Triton JOF001 lookslike to winner. why?
features : soft start, variable speed, 1/2in , spindle lock, comes with a 1/2in and 1/4 collet(have to double check the 1/4 have found conflicting info on this ) and the weight 3.9kg
and most of all price VEK tools have them for $269 in sydney and on line

The Mak's and Hitachi were to high in price for similar specs

Based on research and advice here on the Forums I was looking at the Triton MOF001 and Hitatchi M12VE … was originally looking at the SE version but several peeps recommended to upgrade to the variable speed. In the end I got a good deal on a Triton TRA001 from someone here on the Forums which should be in my hands within a week

Done it I got the Triton JOF001 and so far its been great, $269 VEK tools Sydney
Ive been cutting mortise for table legs and it works a treat with the jig i made up.

Its light enoungh to handle by hand yet still has some weight behind it.(3.9kg actually)
the fence and base plate are big and ridgid might cause some issue doing smaller stuff but so far its been alright,

Its still a bit stiff when plunging but im hopping that will clear up over time.

What did it come with ?

    Spanner for the collets
    1/4 in collet
    1/2 in collet
handle for height adjustment (when under a table)
    base plate
    fence
small peice to attach to the fence to make a circular cut

dosent come with any router bits. at least mine didnt
