What Router to fit to a Router Lathe
I have one of the Vermont America brand router lathes and am wondering what would be a good small router to fit to it.
Thanks for suggestions.

I have looked at the Triton routers with the rack and pinion adjustment and that would be exactly what I'd like for the router lathe.
BUT... They are heavy and might cause some problems with the lathe router carriage.
Does anyone know of other routers with the rack and pinion adjustment but are not so heavy.

The smaller Triton (MOF001) weighs in at 4.7Kg (10.4 lbs.). I'm sure you could try the lathe, with a weight of that amount on it, to give you an idea. I'm also fairly certain that no other router currently has the rack-and-pinion design.

Thanks Ray.
I have tried the weight on the router lathe and it appears to be no problems.
So it looks like I will try and find a MOF001 router around the traps.
Sounds like looking for rocking horse pXX though. I'll keep my eye out.
Thanks again.
