Default router lift from USA/get together in Warburton area?

    Hi there

Has anybody ordered from the mail order company wooodpeckers in the USA to australia? What was your experience? I'm wanting to order the Unilift router lifts for a router table I have been wanting to build for ages to go with my incra router fence.

Also, is there anyone living in the Yarra ranges (Warburton/ Healsvile area in Victoria) who would like to meet fortnightly to chat with liked minded people, talk about our lasted "must have" tool, ask advice, or to show of their latest project ect with people who will probably understand more than a frustrated partner?

Yeah! Won a Incra 1000 SE mitre off epay and then purchased the Incra 25" LS fence system at the same time, both from Woodpeckers.

Had them surface mailed which took about 8 weeks, which is what I expected.

This was 2 years ago, and I saved large $'s. All went verry well with the transaction!

I've bought the router lift, fence, and table top along with other bits and pieces and brought them back with me as baggage on two seperate trips. I'd be interested to see how you go with freight as they only quote airmail and a couple of emails I sent regarding getting some stuff shipped over here went unanswered. Great gear very well made and I'm very happy with it, however their quoted freight to Oz is as much as the tools.

    G'day Tool,

You can get your Woodpecker's Unilift from the sponsors of this part of the thread, but then i don't know if it's deaer or cheaper, but it'd definitely be quicker. Do woodpeckers ship outside of the US?
I make things, I just take a long time.

Tool go to checkout with the items you want to purchase from Woodpecker and then sit down before you see the shipping cost AND don't forget to cancel out!!

Many companies only want to ship with courier companies these days because it keeps it simple for them and they have better control/monitoring over the process. But hey why not request surface mail and see what response you get.

I do purchase stuff from overseas but you have to keep a close eye on total cost - shipping, insurance, Aus duty if total invoiced amount over $1K etc.

Good luck - hope it works out for you.
