Router Sled Safety.
I was wondering if making a router sled to flatten irregular shaped pieces of wood would be safe?
I have tried sanding them but it very very slow.
The timber is very old dry and hard eucalyptus.
The plan is to fill in the centres with resin, to make clocks.

It would be safer to fill them with resin before you rout them to help hold them together.
I am learning, slowley.

I agree with
Pagie, I would fill them with Resin first, plus a good ring of Hot melt Glue around the exterior edge then use the Router Sled, but be mindful the Timer you are using is sold and not vill of voids !!!
Cheers Matt.
