    Default Router Stand

After many years of resting/storing my router on its side as well as trying to do any adjustments, changing bits etc while trying to balance the TR12 on its head - there is a power cable in the way - it finally dawned on me to do the same as I had done for my belt sander and ROS.

Below is the result and as I said - should have done it years ago

The best ideas are the simplest ideas, and vice versa. Nice work!

Thanks all for your supportive comments.

Most of the time the router "lives" upside down in the router table but when on the shelf under the bench it now no longer sits on its "face" or lies on its side. Have also found that using it hand-held it is easier to place into the stand.

    Regards,
    Bob

Great Idea ..., many thanks mate !
I'm planning to buy HITACHI M12SA2 router. It's 'huge' and scares me off at glance....
BUT now, you just give me a great idea of how to handle it to do most of my project.

    THANK YOU Bob !!

    Your welcome.

Still working - just like a store bought one.
