    Default Router Table Attachment

Apart from the price what would be the problems with this router table attachment?

As you say, apart from the price it looks like a nice piece of equipment. If you have the extended rails and they are the correct distance apart to match the length of the table it would be a good thing.
Looks nicely made from the photos.

Set up as shown in the listing, material would need to be fed to it from the infeed end of the saw, which may not be ideal due to the reach required to complete a pass. In theory you may be able to reverse the fence and place it on the opposite of the router so that material feeds in the opposite direction to how it does for the saw, enabling you to control the process from the end of the extended table surface, i.e the front edge of the actual router table. The fence appears to mount on full length transverse T slots to make this possible, but for some reason the supplier does not include photos of the unit configured this way to confirm this. On that basis, I suggest that you examine a display unit somewhere before before committing yourself to the unit.

Cast iron units tend to have issues with table thickness at the router mounting location and the amount of router bit travel this costs, particularly for through table bit change routers. Again, I suggest a thorough examination of a display unit before commitment. The photos provided don't enable you to visualise the router mounting situation with the unit, or for that matter how clearance around various sized bits is catered for.

    Thanks for your replies.
I am thinking about making extension table like this out of MDF, have been looking at websites for parts needed.
