    Default Router Table for Beginners

    As a hobbyist woodworker, I was reluctant to build a router table because they looked all pretty complicated. I used my routers for two years without a table and then one day decided to have a go at making one. I took the design from a terrific book written by an American woodworker called Carol Reed. Her design was simple and easy to follow. I produced a very basic but functional table in one day and was bloody glad I did it, saved me a lot of time routing two dozen rebates.     I also have Carol reed's book. She does have some amazing ideas that are also very practical and affordable.
