    Default Another router table build.

Well I thought I had better stop holding out and perhaps post my WIP.

The table is based on different elements of router tables I've seen here and on the web.

I used an inverted flush trim bit with a high level of success here. I ended up just using the maktec edge trimmer to do the job.

The fence is now in the process of being built, Just waiting on some lengths of T track and Mitre track. After uhming and ahing about the price of t track I eventually coughed up for the expensive incras stuff as I will also buy an incra guage for it.

After dropping my jaw at the price of the router plates from incra both aluminium and phenolic, I decided to pay my local engineer a visit. I showed him a photo and gave him an idea of what I wanted and I got him to build a plate for me.

I bought a piece of 12mm aluminium plate and he surfaced it on the lathe to 10mm and milled it to the standard 11 3/4" X 9 1/4". He also made 5 collars of different sizes. All up the plate cost me $150 much cheaper than I had expected.

When I get a little more done I will post some more photos.
Comments, criticisms and compliments all accepted.

Nice work on the plate and looks like you've given your self plenty of work room too.

    Cheers,
