Default Routing a rectangle in a rectangle???

Firstly,...the sum total of my routing experience is edge routing on my triton router table. I made all the Shaker style kitchen cupboards for our kitchen a few years ago.

I now want to rout a rectangular recess, of a precise size, in a rectangular board, in a precise position on the board, and looking at the Triton table it just does not seem like the right thing to be trying to do this on. Or is it do-able???

    Hello.

My routing skills is similar to you but YouTube has plenty of examples of people making a template from mdf (or similar) then using a pattern following bit.

This link shows a fancy version of what i think you want.

Thanks for that,...it confirms what I thought about the table, so a template is the answer.
    Cheers
