I bought a set of these bits from Freud by mistake, oh boy are they HUGE.
Only ever used them once to profile a very large picture frame.

Hey Wolffie are you still happy with the bench router, do you have any negatives for this little unit anything that could be improved etc.

I am still happy with it.
    It's a powerful little unit.
We made an extension table for it at the front to support wider pieces and I have to put a heatsink in with the motor because it gets a bit hot for my short stubby little pinkies when I want to change the bit
I love the saw table type crank to lift the router up. Maybe I would like the collet to lift a little higher for ease of changing bits but that is really the only thing I would change in the machine.

I used to have a Triton table and I would not change the Scheppach for that one any time.

Thanks Greg for putting the link up, Also thanks Wolfie for the insight into your machine.
Was in Perth last week for other things as well as the TWW show.

My time at the Show was limited due to appointments in the city and I did'nt get out to Hare & Forbes to have a squizz at the machine you have Wolfie.

I do not know why H&F do not have a presence at these WW shows, its unfortunate as there would be another perspective for folk to guage their opinions on machinery.
Is the casing pressed steel I was wondering about your comments about the heat build-up and having put in a heat sink?

    Cheers

    Still happy Wolffie?

Just looking at one of these. Very tempted.

Anyone else own one? Any other feedback?

I have had one for about 6 months now and I'm quite happy with it but be careful with the collet. I had a bit stuck at one stage & it took a bit of work to get it out......... I put an 'O' ring in the collet and haven't had any problems since.......
    Catch ya later,
