I do not understand what you mean.
What's the difference between a bench machine on a stand and a router mounted in a table?
I never liked putting a router upside-down and fighting the plunger. Even less having to muck around with setting it up again when the router was needed for something else.
I prefer to use tools the way they are intended to be used.
I may be a bit of a nut but I have dedicated routers for all my, whatshammacall it, Leigh Jigs etc.
Cheers

I'd like to look at one of those.
Pity the photographer had no idea about fingerboard use

I believe that what you have there in a bench model is for the most suitable for your needs because you have chosen as such.
Not knowing its dimensions or capacity and speed range at this point and it is only conjecture on my part of whether or not I could personally have a need of it.
Being bench mounted you will undoubtedly have also considered the height of its location to your personal working space so that it is not an effort to work with it over a protracted period. It also needs to fixed in position for stability.
Although it could be mounted on a mobile platform to moves around the work area to suit.
I also have numerous routers & like you they are dedicated to the tasks I have assigned them such as the Leigh,a couple of router tables as well so they stay where they are and fixed.
I do also have the floor model Jet Spindle/Router machine which is mobile and can be moved around the shop as can all the router tables.
I will take time out at the Perth TWW show next week to have a squizz at it and form my own opinion on it.

Actually, what we built was a cabinet with doors,on wheels so we can move it around in the shed.
The speed is 8000-24000rpm.
3 collets 1/2", 1/4" and 8mm.
Spindle adjustment 0-40mm
Dust chute 100 mm with adapter to different sizes
Thee round thingies in the middle are 4 or 5 rings that fit into each other so you can adjust it to the bit size and not hit the gutter.
Fence individually adjustable.
2 extension wings making it just over 1 metre in length
2 hp
Weight 20kg.
All in all not bad at all for under $300
Only problem was that we had to file the end of the slot in the wings down a bit, the mitre gauge got stuck in the lip between the wings and the table. Being aluminium sheeting that was not too hard.

Do you think that the router would run a 90 mm panel raising bit?

I have just looked at the specs for that at H&F. It looks like excellent value for money . It also looks like it will run rings around my Triton RTA300 table.
I can probably sell my Triton with router and cover the cost of that.
Hmmmm. thinking, thinking.
H&F is only a 10 minute drive away.____________________________________________________________
