shaker style router bit
I'm trying to make some shaker style kitchen cabinets, unfortunately I can't find router bits that do what I would like. I have a shaker style bit now but the angled cut is too small I would like more of an angle. I think the bit I have is 75 degrees I looking for more like 45 degrees. Anybody no where I could find a router bit like that. Or do I have to use a separate bit for the 45 degree cut and another for the channel the panel sits in. Thanks.

Greetings, and welcome to the forum.

I thought that I had identified the router bit that you need - and then I realised that you're located in the USA. Anyway - one of our Australian router bit manufacturers, Carbi-tool Australia, makes a very plain Rail & Style Router Bit Set, and it has a plain approximately 45 degree bevel, as you can see in the photo at left which I've clipped from the Carbi-tool Online Catalogue.
The bit is available as a Reversible style bit (Part number in blue at left), and as a stacked style bit(Part number in red at left).
However, on your side of the Pacific, it looks like Rockler have a Shaker Style Rail & Style bit set that has a 13651.jpg45 degree bevel, as shown in the image at left. The Rockler part number that I think you're looking for is #40432(1). Other manufacturers, such as Whiteside Tools, do have what they refer to as a Shaker Style bit, but the bevel angle is more like 30 degrees, as shown at the bottom of this post in a clip from the Whiteside Tools Catalogue.
I hope that info is helpful.

Not sure what joint the OP is after. For us Shaker door style is not the same as Shaker door stile. It could be just a chamfering bit to make v-grooves and relieve the edges on frame and panels such as http://www.allstyle.ca/Shaker_Doors/...inet_Door.html

Thanks Roy, I did see those bits but don't think that is exactly what I was looking for, all the shaker cupboards I see, the beveled cut goes right to the face it don't have the 90 degree edge on it. Thanks Fuzzy I meant both the stile and rail, the door style I'm making is shaker, if that makes any more sense.
