Ok just tried my new TRB001 mounted and the built-in lifter works a charm. Winds up and down easily and smoothly although slowly.
Cheers

Mike, just as a matter of interest about the router you purchased - which chuck and collet comes with the router. See my attached picture with the 2 different collets.

Les, Two chucks and collets, one for 1/4" and 1/2".
The Triton TRB0001 came with the above plus guide plate plus crank handle plus instruction booklet (which was woefully inadequate) and no DVD to make up for crappy instructions.
Cheers

JilB here is a pic of my table lifted on the piano hinge. The hinge is in the background, it's a bit hard to see. I just finished installing the hight gauge.

Thanks for sharing SB. What size compartment did you allow for the router to be lowered in to?
Any chance of sending us more details of your height gauge - looks very interesting !
How do you raise and lower the router bit? With a lifting device?regards,
Dengy

JillB, I gave you the size in my reply at the start of your post. The hight gauge is the Wixey from PWS for the router table. Carbatec also sell them but I would shop around as you could get from the US cheaper. The height gauge does metric and imperial and when set up right for the Triton is a dream to use i.e. no guess work. The piano hinge I got from the big green shed, and I use the Woodpecker router lift but it's a bit expensive. I think if I was to install a router lift today I would go for the Kreg or Jessem lifter as they are cheaper or simply get one from the US direct. Don't forget the Triton now comes with built in rise and lower ability and that could save you buying a router lift. The older ones like I have don't have the rise and lower lift. If you want more pics to help you let me know.

Hi SB, I have the older Triton TRA001 also, like you. I would really appreciate some more photos of how you did the lifter and the height gauge, as I think there are lots of things to learn from your innovative work

Here are some more pictures with some measurements. My router table works like a dream. I would not change anything except the top but I am happy with it for now. I would put a melomime or metal top on just to give it more durability as I use it as a bench top also because I can move to where I want in the workshop. The whole thing is 87 wide 61 deep and 90 high. It is on 4 wheels that lock using your shoe. The left door is the cavity for the router and the right one is for storage. It has two draws that I store router bits in and other bits and peices. It also has 2 other starage areas below the draws but I plan to put draws in them. I store other bits and peices in them.
The top has a unilift and 3/4 miter slot. The two miter slots at the very end is to slide my Incra Wonderfence on when I need it. It locks down with two nobs in the miter slots. You will notice the Triton router has a dust hose and it goes to the dust port at the back for a vacumm cleaner dust collector. I have also shown you the detachable dust port that clamps on top when I do freehand routing. When I use the Incra Wonderfence it has a built in dust port. Under the top you will notice a prop that I use to hold the top up when I need to get inside for any reason. It is attached on a bolt to swivel up or out of the way. I have an external on/off switch that turns the router on/off but the Triton is controlled by it for off/on use. I show a picture of the hinge that lets you open the router top.
The Wixey gauge is shown from the back and how I fitted it up, also I show the magnet connected to the slide and disconnected to the slide. I show how I connected an arm that goes from the unilift to the magnet and slide.
I hope this helps.
