Straight/edge guide compatible with for Hiatchi TR-12
Hi all,
I'm looking for a straight/edge guide for a Hitachi TR-12 router. The Hiatchi OEM part is no longer available, so I started looking at other OEM parts. The Makita routers seem like the use a very similar if not the same dimension edge guide. I was hoping if a Makita owner (or anyone else with a modern 1/2" router) could check the diameter of the bars/holes in their router base, as well as how far apart they are (between centers).
On my Hitachi TR-12, the hole diameter for the straight guide is about 12.25mm (to accomodate a 12mm bar I assume), and the two holes are 115mm apart between centers. From the information I can find, Makita part number 195136-9 comes with 10mm diameter bars spaced 115mm apart (Amazon.co.uk: Customer Questions & Answers, Guide Side for makita RP1800 RP2301FC 3612C 3612 3612BR M3600B 3620 M360B RT0700C DR750 195136 9 194935 6|Power Tool Accessories| - AliExpress)
If somebody could confirm if their router hole size and position is the same, that would be much appreciated.
Cheers

Hi Wardrop,
I have both the Hitachi TR-12 and the Makita RP2301FC and have the fence that came with both of them. I just measured them now for you and both fences are nearly identical in dimension. Both have bars that are 12mm in diameter, within a few hundredths of a mm. Both are at 115mm centers. The design of both is very similar with only a few design differences like the tightening knobs. The only real difference is the length of the bars - the Makita fence has 170mm long bars whereas the Hitachi fence has 205mm long bars.
Hope this helps.

I have an identical Makita fence you can have for free (excl postage). PM me if you're interested.
Edit: to be clear, the bars are 115mm centre to centre and they are 12mm diameter
