Table mounted Triton dust collection
Can anyone help?
I've got the triton router and am building a cabinet for it. I'm guessing that with the router in an enclosed cabinet, I shouldn't just connect a 40mm dust pipe to the built-in dust cowling on the triton - I understand that you need to have airflow going past the router motor to keep it cool in a cabinet.
So should I take the cowling off and just run a 100mm pipe to the back of the cabinet? Or will I get a better pull down from around the router bit if I use the 40mm to the cowling - and maybe leave the cabinet doors open when routing.
Or, oddly, I was wondering if I should connect up both a 100mm and a 40mm pipe.
I do want to maximise the dust collection from below, because I'm not sure I'll be able to do any from the fence. I've just ordered the el cheapo Incra router fence (from Woodpeckers rebadged Woodworkerssupplies) which doesn't have a dust collection facility.
Any thoughts appreciated.
