Default Timberbits no longer ship TRITONS to New Zeland

On 16 January they told me they do ship to NZ but were out of stock.

New stock is now in but it seems they no longer ship to New Zealand. I wonder if Carbatech NZ being the only agent here has anything to do with it?

Unfortunately I am not about to pay an extra $NZ200 to buy the MAF001 locally so I will have to make do with the loaner from my brother until I can get someone else prepared to ship one to me.

Back to Google to hunt out another supplier

There are a bunch of sellers on ebay aus that ship them to over to NZ. You'll probably still get done for gst + customs inspection fee which will put the price up a bit.

If GST comes in under $50 they often let it go without charging. Its actually the cost of releasing it via the carriers that hurts if you get stung and you pay GST on that too!

I think I'll hang on and get my wife to pick one up later in the year when she is in Sydney, or see if one of the guys from work who go over regularly will bring one back if I get it sent to their hotel.

Some of us in Aus use freight forwarders located in the USA to trans ship goods that we purchase from US suppliers, usually when the supplier's freight costs are too high, or where the supplier won't ship to Australia. As far as the seller is concerned, they are shipping to an address in the USA - not to an Australian address. So - does anyone know of any Australian based freight forwarders who will provide the same service to a customer located in NZ ?

I am not familiar with the Triton MAF001 Router, but I have a Triton MOF001 1400W Router here that I bought as a "backup" and never used.

It is still in the original, unopened and shrink wrapped box.

If you are interested I can post that to NZ.

    Fred,

Maybe send Gerryattrick in NZ a PM to see if he's interested, as he is the one who started this thread.
