    Default My latest Toy

G'Day all, Last week I was happily using my old Router (GMC) it been a good help to from time to time, but it started to destroy itself . When I pushed down to set the depth,I didn't notice that it had gone down with one side higher than the other.
Also the lock down lever was starting to break the casing from constant use whether this was the routers fault or me being a bit heavy handed when locking I don't know, but it was breaking the case and destroying itself as I said and the job I was doing at the time.

So with tears in my eye's ,off I went down to my favorite Toy ShopBunnings and came home the proud owner of a Ryobi ERT2100VK in it's own case and has a collet capacity, from 6.35mm (1/4 ") take the adapter out and it becomes a 12.7mm (1/2").

So now I'll get used to it with some scrap before taking on a job and stuffing it up.

I've just bought a Maktec. Let us know in due course how you go with the Ryobi. Good luck.

What were you using it on mostly?.
I had a play around with it today on some scrap pine, mostly just grooves and it did well, although I did have a fancy blade for edges and it didn't like it much but I feel that was more me and getting used to the ryobi.
