I have no direct knowledge of Ryobi cordless tools, but much will depend on what level of work you intend to do with the laminate trimmer style. If you go for one of the better brands you will be up for at least one battery too so that is starting to get expensive unless you are already contemplating travelling that path. If that is the case you can add new skins as you need them. They are slightly down on power compared to 240V tools, but not so you would notice for most jobs you will put it to. Cordless routers do seem to be quieter as well.
Otherwise you may be better off buying a corded laminate trimmer. Any of the major brands (Makita, Bosch, AEG, DeWalt,Milwaukee etc) should be fine. Also consider the DeWalt which is available in a fixed base/plunge base arrangement and is slightly more powerful, but expensive.
As always, much depends on your budget.

Trim router
Not sure this helps. If looking at another battery platform you can get adaptors for other brand batteries to Ryobi. I recently got Makita battery lawn mover & purchased adaptor so I could use Makita batteries in my Ryobi tools.
Next time I purchase a battery tool have a choice of Makita or Ryobi.

I have this set up, with another micro fence.
I use for work an pleasure(Wood work[emoji6]).
It’s fantastic I would not leave Earth without it.
Granted most off my other work Power tools are Makita too, so I have plenty of Batteries and chargers.

Because I searched DeWalt briefly when I replied in my earlier post, I am now bombarded with DeWalt advertisements!
It's OK. This was one ad that appeared:
DeWALT 900W 6.35mm ( 1/4" ) Premium Plunge & Fixed Base Router Combination - D26204K-XE - TradeTools | Huge Range, Great Service
I am not recommending the seller one way or the other. It is just a convenient link to bring it to your attention and the price quoted includes both bases, neither of which are apparently in stock until August. If it turns out to be of interest you should shop around. You can buy the machine with only a single base too. I feel that somewhere I saw another manufacturer offering a similar dual base option, but I don't recall who it was. perhaps somebody else could help on that score.

At 900W it is more powerful than most laminate trimmers. Actually nearly twice as powerful as most and it can be used as light duty plunge router if you wish. I bought mine some while back and I cannot remember how much it cost: The price has gone up though.

I've got the Milwaukee cordless one, along with the optional plunge base & it does everything I need. I made this table for it.

The standard base comes with both large & small baseplates, so I used the large one in the table. I normally use the plunge base when not in the table, but it only takes a minute to take the standard base off the table if I want to use that. No need for a lift as the adjustment in the base does that & the micro adjustment dial makes fine adjustments easy.
