    Default Triton Question

    G'day all

I was looking at the Triton 3hp router in the uk and the "rack and pinion" movement appears to be excellent.

My question is does it also have the normal plunge action that you get on other routers? It has something inset on the side of the handle that moved into two positions, but it didn't seem to do anything.

    I would appreciate any help.

    Thanks

    Hi Neil

Welcome. I have a Triton Router and on reading the instruction manual it does plunge rout but I was trying to do it yesterday and was not having much success.

According to the instructions you hold in the notched ring and turn the knob within the handle to lock it, but I couldn't get to lock to click into place and hold the ring so it would leave the ratchet locked open.

It also involves a bit of a push/pull of the inner knob to get it to engage into either mode. Its dark & wet (yay!) outside, so I'm not going down to the shed & take any pics tonite.

Yes it does have "normal" plunge.
