dovetail jig for large boxes
Can anyone recommend a dovetail jig that will create largish sized dovetails for boxes? I'm thinking esky size or a little bigger. I know doing this by hand is the pure way but I'm interested in testing one out and comparing results to my hand cut ones.
Cheers

We at the Bicton Men's Shed use the Incra jig and I have created drawers approximately 250mm in height using a 19mm dovetail. I had to start in the middle and work outwards to the edge on each piece because the Incra only has a working range of about 180mm. I had to work out the spacing required because the standard dovetail scale is designed for a 12mm dovetail.

Hi brettule,
Leigh 24"dovetail jig can handle boards up to 24" wide up to 1 1/4" thick and the dovetails can be set to many different sizes along the width of the board I have done many blanket boxes 24" high over the years with mine a bit expensive way to go for a test though, although of late I have been getting back into doing then by hand for smaller boxes.
