Default Unexpected mounting plate came with Triton RTA300 table

I bought an RTA300 table and stand last week and just setting it up now, but I can't figure out the mounting plate. It doesn't appear to be the standard plate that comes with at least the current version of the RTA300 and there's no separate sub plate that has the bolt slots for quick mounting of Triton routers such as my TRA001.

    Any ideas?

    Hi,
The mounting plate you have is the original one the other one was introduced after the TR001 hit the market to make mounting it easier but it can be mounted in the older plate like any lesser router.

Thanks Hugh, getting the original manual is even better! Even though the two-clamp setup looks dodgy it does work and my router is now installed and I've taken the table for a spin. Now just need to calibrate the fence and buy some replacement guide fingers. Is that something TOCACT members could help with or should I just import from UK?

    Hi,
The UK seems to be the best for spares. I seldom ever use the guide fingers, does your fence have the springs at the back for adjusting the clearance to the cutter or do you have to loosen the screws to do it? That would be another up grade worth getting if you are getting stuff , the more you buy the less the unit shipping cost. The quick acton base plate is also an upgrade for earlier units.
If you want a one on one chat on this stuff just say and I will PM you my address and we can set a time for you to drop round.

Yeah it's the old style, just screws no microadjusters or any fancy stuff. I guess I can live without the fingers for now too … I can't really justify spending money on parts for the table, I'm just grateful I have it so I can get more use out of my router!

Maybe once I've got skills in the workshop and can do things other than build aviaries, possum boxes, garden beds and garage shelving then I can look at modernising the table.
