I've already offered you my Free Draw give away win while I'm away and now you want to be in my will as well????
Won't be much of a pickup I'm afraid.
Have you weighed the router table?
Ensure you get good, large quality wheels as rolling over any cord, pebble etc will cause a problem if you use cheapies.

G'day Bob38S,
Weighed the r/table - not yet, but 1/3 completed it comes in at ruddy heavy.
No problems on the wheels, I picked up some large grey hospital bed grade wheels from Mega Mitre 10 when they closed down at half price even then they were pricey - but I'm not one to cut corners on things. Each wheel is rated at 70kg load cpacity, so a total of 280 kgs will see me okay.

Just spoke with Grahame (top bloke - very friendly and helpful ) and ordered my engineered router table top and all its bits, can't wait for it to arrive.

G'day,
another weekend (and Friday excepting for Drivel time ) meant more time in the shed to work on the r/table.
Pic 1: First up I put the drawer ruuners in the right side and put the faces on the last of the drawers.
That done I next moved on to the handles.
Pic 2: So that there'd be no pencil marks on the drawer front when I come to sealing the MDF I decided on a template to easily mark the holes for the screws.
Pic 3: Sit the template over the drawer front nice and flush on all sides
Pic 4: Then with a 2mm nail I simply marked the locations for the holes
Pic 5: And drilled them on the d/press. I decided first up that I'd like to keep the holes real tight so that the screws would bite into them and give an extra bit of grip. But this idea didn't work everytime as I did a few screw heads in, so I went up in size with the drill bit to be equal to the shank of the screw.

G'day,
After a bit of time selecting the handles, I knew I wanted brushed silver, just had to find a simple non-obtrusive design I like.
Pic 1 Shows the first handle screwed home.
Pic 2 I've got all the handles on (I would've had this finished yesterday, except that the neighbour walked over with a few vitamins )
Pic 3 To give more support to the router top I bought some 400mm lengths of 35x35x3mm angle. Drilled, contersunk and gave them a coat of DuraGal Galvit.
This is all I can do now on the r/table until I get all the gear in sometime this week from PWS, other than get the aluminium angle and aluminium channel for the fence and router lift.

All looking good.
Perhaps one of the first jobs might be to remove the handles from the drawers and then run the fronts over the new table and relieve the sharp edges - [which will soon have some dings in them if you leave them as sharp edges].
A nice simple round over bit or I'm rather fond of the ogee type bits.
Regards,
Bob

G'day Bob38S,
I'd thought of that. I was starting to run out of things to do while I wait for the stuff from PWS I wanted to see how the handles looked.
Initially I liked the hard lines of the drawers, but already they are copping a few dings - so yes I'll be running over them with a round over bit.

G'day,
Just got this stuff delivered by courier from PWS:
• T Track Gold 1200mm;
• Phenolic TLR Router Plate Blank (Other Routers);
• 6 Knob 1/4-20 Thru 5 lobe;
• 1 Rectangular Nuts 1/4-20;
• 1 Nylon Washers 12.7mm;
• 1 Scale Track Gold 600mm;
• 1 Insert Nut Hex Drive 1/4 x 20 x 12mm; and
• 1 Incra Mitre Slider 450mm
Now I just have to wait on a phone call to say I can go down the road and pick up the r/table top - which is only 5mins drive down in Bayswater. And pick up the aluminium bits for the router lift and fence and I can continue working on the r/table.

Gloat, gloat!
Did you get T track or mitre track? The mitre (miter?) slider doesn't fit in the T track does it?
Will be a good looking router setup.
What router are you using Waldo?

G'day Bob38S,
Gloat?
I spoke to Grahame and went the mitre track, that way I can fit the Incra slider and I make up a sled which will run both in the track of the fence and mitre tack - gotta be a better alternative to a crappy mitre gauge.
No, the slide doesn't fit T-track.
The router will be a Hitachi TR12.
