Whiteside Ultimate Flush Trim Bit
I've had one of these monsters lying around waiting for me to build a router table to use it in:

bought from forum sponsor Professional Woodworking Tools for an eye-watering price (which was still quite a bit less than they cost now). Good company by the way - pretty quick on the delivery front.
Finally got to use the thing. Must confess I'm a bit frightened of it - it's huge! But oh so good! Chewed through this recycled red ironbark which is super dense and hard as a hard thing on a hard day, and the finish is fantastic - it's like glass.

Many dolla, but I suspect I'll never need to buy another one with the amount I'll use it.

Glad I was sitting down when I saw the eye watering price (and I thought I spent a lot on bits).
Mind you, they say you get what you pay for, and buy once. I think you have a winner.
