Woodpeck router gear from woodpeck.com
Just imported a bunch of stuff for the router table that I am building.
Id already bought a ProRouter Table Top Type C and needed to buy the rest of the gear like a aluminium insert, a couple of tracks, a fence and other bits and pieces (brackets, stops, knobs, etc...). i.e.: Parts that I though I needed to get so I have the best precision.
I tried to source some Woodpecker gear in Australia, but woodpeck.com in the US was by far the cheapest. Even after you add the shipping etc... (There were no taxes)
Just a few points for those who might do the same thing (buy from woodpeck.com) and take advantage of the strong Aussie dollar.
1) Do not buy any Incra gear from them (unless that is all you buy). You dont see it, but you pay TWICE for shipping since they DO NOT hold any incra stock, thus you pay for shipping from the Incra factory too. You can see this by mucking around with the shopping basket and looking at the shipping prices attached to the basket. (They also state it in fine print somewhere too)
2) Once, shipped the products arrived in about 4 days - with signature and tracking. I used USP Priority Shipping, which was the cheapest. (I don't think that the more expensive shipping methods would be much faster)
3) Add the basket items from smallest parts to largest. Why? you ask... Well, again while mucking around with the shopping basket I found that their auto shipping calculator gave a better rate (even up to $40 to $50 cheaper) by doing this. Sounds silly, but that is the way it was.
4) I haven't tested the parts I just got in the workshop, but the Woodpecker parts look great. They are solid, professional and for now would buy them again. (Love the 24" super track - which I will use for my fence.)
5) I have no affiliation with Woodpecker, but I always let people know If I find a good deal.
Well, I hope this helps. Keep praying that the Aussie dollar stays high, and lets go shopping.

I bought the thick aluminium mounting plate and had to remove the router plate mounting template as the mdf was weighty and boosted shipping to a ridiculous rate.
I thought their shipping calculator was broken/bugged until I got an email saying that it wasn't- so far in my experiences they are second only to peachtree in shipping price.
Peachtree wouldn'tt give me a shipping price until I had placed and paid for the order through a third party payment gateway- no thanks! They still wouldn't give me a ball park amount through email- a ridiculous way to do business.
It's a shame there aren't yearly 'bulk buys' from certain OS woodworking firms organised as wood/tooling is sometimes, with the organiser copping a free item/s for their troubles.
I think customs and bulk shipping would win out over singular ordered UPS items.

Hi Girius
Is this for real? I just ordered and paid for the "LS25" including postage. Are you saying,I'm gonna get another bill from Incra? So far I thought I did pretty well scoring the jig for $478. You sure got me worried!

Gents,
I use MyUs.com to avoid these sort of hassles. Even better if you can place an order that qualifies for free shipping in the US.

No no, if you ordered from woodpeck, it will just be the one bill.
If it was just an incra part or parts then you are only paying for shipping from incra.
If you were to also order a woodpeck part then there would of been a much higher shipping charge. I.e.: Shipping charge from Incra and from Woodpecker.
