All up I think mine will go close to $800 finished as today I am off to buy the flexible lines with an extended credit card I organised yesterday
    I have already priced a few bits and pieces and am aware of what $$ are required (ouch!). If they get too exxy I am a competent PVC welder so I can make my own but I'd rather be making something else.

    The only thing I am holding back on is the router table. I have started to build one in the TS wing and every time I look at it and the dust collection issues I get a headache.

    That's in my too hard basket as well, especially as I don't use a router all that often.

    Anyway for $50 I picked up
    - 18 ft of 6" metal pipe,
    - 6 m of 6" flex,
    - a 6" -> 3 x 4" outlets, which will be great for something a TS or BS
    - a 6" Y with a 4" outlet.

    I guess that's a start but I'm gonna need a lot more than this. Since the new shed budget has already blown out by a couple of thousand, what's a few hundred more on the DC system I say.

    6 x 45 deg bends and a 150mm screw on cap was $135 this morning. I have just come in from totally re-jigging mine due to the installation of a new cyclone. It was 32 deg and about 80% humidity so it can wait until the weather cools off now. Working up in the roof was not pleasant.

    That doesn't sound right. I was quoted $12.10 for 150 mm 45º bends this morning and I see on the Perth Retic website they are even cheaper at $10.29 each.

    As for thge weather it was 37.5º and about 65% humidity when I went to pick that pipe this morning.

    Bob, have you bought from them yet? I just had a look at their sit and found this;
    To process your order, we require the following:
    1) Registered business name
    2) Business address for delivery purposes
    3) Business ABN number
    4) Contact name and office phone number.
    Most of which us here don't have.

    No I haven't - but they are just down the road from work so I am going there tomorrow before work to do a pick up.
    I wonder if that order info relates to businesses that order and pay after delivery.

    I was thinking either that, or they only sell to the trade and not to public?

    Well I just spent a very pleasant 45 minutes chewing the PVC pipes with the guys at Pipeco. They are a small (3 person) operation with very competitive prices and even though they technically are a wholesaler they do sell to the public at the same rates. Their internet ordering is open to the public but if you check out the website you will see they have minimum order numbers on some items so you can't just always buy one of this and that. If you go to the physical shopfront then you can buy one of anything.

    Their SW 150 mm Y-junctions cost $15.18 which is the lowest I have seen around Perth.

    Cheers
