50mm dust connections
We all know that 100mm ducting is not a perfact match for 100mm pvc pipe, and that fittings such as these help in joining them together.
My question is the same issue, but regarding 50mm dust hose.
Before I mail order a bunch of 50mm (2") hose from Carbatec, is there the same issue trying to join 50mm hose and 50mm pvc? Or do the sizes match up much more easily than 100mm?
Same question with 2.5" hose and 65mm pvc?

I don't have ducting in the shed but I know what you are going through with trying to get adaptors to join two bits together. Somewhere else on this forum someone tried a neoprene stubby holder. I made one and it works, and is very cheap. I glued mine together, but I think sewing would be better. If you could find a stubby holder maker nearby that would be a great help - buy the neoprene from them and get them to cut and glue/stitch.
I haven't used mine a lot but I am sure it will do the job.

As Jack D has suggested check the ID/OD also have a look at the local irrigation place as often a small section of actual irrigation pipe adapts easily to PVC fittings. Depending on the place you may need to buy a small length [perhaps 1m] or if you indicate that you only need 100mm they may just "trim" the end off a roll as they did for me.

Bob

2.5" flex hose is a good mate for a joiner on 65mm pvc, ie it will not fit on/in the pipe, but will fit quite snuggly in the joiners used for 65mm pvc. So get your pipe, add a $2.50 pipe joiner and a bit of duct tape and your good to go.
