6" dust hood for Dewalt 735 planer
Today I visited a guy who replaced the dust port on his Dewalt 735 planer with a hood that connects to a 6" hose. He said it made a significant difference in chip collection. The product he used came from Etsy:

I'm not sure if you guys can get that in Australia, but I thought it was interesting. At some point the manufacturers will catch on. My first bandsaw had a 2.5" dust port.
