    Default 6" flexi pipe

    still planning and owners come up with even better ideas all round but in planning dust collection I was filling in time at one of the big green sheds in Adel bigger than Lincoln and came across the following

    whats your thoughts, also where do I buy the plasticy/plas-tic-ie type hose that you show off.

    While I eventually found that on the link;
    l first used the 6” aluminium flexible exhaust ducting from Bunnings.

    Anyone deciding on flexy may want to look at this
    Air flow calibration measurements

    In general the stiffer the flexy the better.
    Even though I haven't tested it this would put the soft foil type flexy towards the "back of the pack ".

    Try Advanced Duct Systems. They do a flexible pipe in lots of sizes. I used 160mm as it fits snuggly on the outside of the 150 mm pvc pipe.

    And being slightly larger will make up a bit for the fact that flexy is more restrictive than solid ducting.

    appreciate the comments so far folks but what about this oven extractor fan ali flexi stuff....good bad... stupid indifferent...wont work....

    It worked for me.
    Moved the twin 4” splitters a metre from the fan inlet.
    Couldn’t comment on technical stuff but airflow seems heaps better than previous.
