6" hose
Anywhere else other then carbatec/timbecon to buy 6" flex hose? Are there other industries that use it and may be cheaper?

I don’t know about price as I haven’t checked, but I stumbled across this mob a while ago and saved their address for future use.

You may find it cheaper but it is never cheap unfortunately and all I can suggest is design the system to use as little as possible. I have about one metre of 150mm in my entire system but a few metres of 125mm hooked up to my thicknesser/jointer & BS, both European machines.

I have bought from speedlock (eximo) twice this year.
The first order was for 3 metres of Polyflex (semi flexible) 160mm. Price inc postage was $141.79
The second was for 1 metre of Polyflex light (very flexible)160mm. Price inc postage was $62.65
The reason I buy 160mm is it fits over 6” pvc pipe. I could buy 150mm for very little difference in cost then Phaf around making fittings etc etc but it’s not worth the time and saves nothing in cost when you take into account the extra fittings required.
One word of warning when buying from speedlock (and maybe the same from others?) they measure the order length by stretching the hose to almost breaking point, measure and cut.
For instance, 1 metre of Polyflex light is about 700mm when sitting loose on the ground, about 250mm when fully compressed and 1 metre stretched so your arms are aching and you are red in the face from the effort.
So if you are “umming and aarrring” whether 1 metre will be long enough, do yourself a favour and order 2. DAMHIKLast edited by Lappa; 1st January 2020 at 11:31 AM. Reason: Last comment
