6'' pvc fittings costly? Adelaide.
I have tried numerous places in Adelaide for 6'' pvc storm water (edited) fittings, but most want $30 average for a 45 fitting. Am I correct in saying that's a bit expensive for one fitting ? Considering you need two just to make a bend.
Where are people getting their connectors from? Are they paying this price?

$30 per pieces sounds like Bunnings/Masters prices.
Have you tried large scale reticulation specialist suppliers.

Sorry I meant storm water pvc fittings. Edited original post thanks
Masters and Bunnings from what I saw, dont really stock that size of fitting, usually just 4" and smaller.
I have tried big plumbing places, Reece for example.

Reece are general plumbing, try for specialist irrigation and pipe only suppliers
Look for a place like this one

i recently picked up some 6" pieces from Reece in melbourne.
90 degree bend = $22.39 inc. GST
45 degree bend = $22.99 inc. GST
thats for PVC stormwater fittings. I didnt screw em on price. thats just the price over the counter, no trade discounts or similar....

Blimey that is expensive, about double the pipe online price see http://www.pipeonline.com.au/listPro...ORMWATER+BENDS
It's not often that WA prices are this much cheaper, usually we get screwed from multiple directions due to the mining industry paying whatever is asked.
It may even be worth seeing what shipping costs from WA are at those prices.

yeah i figured the shipping charges would be about 60-80bux with one of the couriers to drag it from one side of the country to the other. 6" fittings are very light...but so damn bulky. by the time u get a few elbows and a couple of Y junctions, its a pretty big box. so add in an extra $10/piece = i only paid a extra couple bux per piece for the convenience of having it in the garage the day that I wanted it, instead of 2 days after the day i wanted it

Similar prices at Total Eden (thank you to John Samuel for the heads up on them) at Bomaderry, purchased this morning.
S/W 45o F&F bend 150mm $14.50
S/W 6M x 150mm $66.55
I don't have an account, that's just retail. Delivery free (I'm outside Berry) ~20km away (on salesman's way home?).
Not of much use to OP, as TE don't seem to have a presence in SA, but maybe useful for others.
Cheers,
Mark
