Default Automatic Dust Extraction - Bumped thread

    Hello,

Did a forum search and found the thread below - tried to bump it but unable to because it is too old.

    Hence this new post.

I like the idea of the remote control for the Dust Extractor power point

Some sort of relay would also work for me

Any new ideas or products since this thread was first started ?

Whats sort of key words should I be using in forum searches and googling for this topic - found very few results.

Am using a Carba Tec double bag and Triton work station and home made drum sander.

Does it damage the dust extractor motor to leave it permanently switched on and then control it from the remote power point control ?

Short answer - no, not if it's a simple mechanical on/off switch.

You will have to by pass the magnetic switch on the DC.

    Correct, if it has one.
That's why I added the condition re simple mechanical switch. Mine has no magnetic switch, just a basic type. I guess I should have added 'toggle'.
