    Default TS bladeguard port

Considering how small the volume in a table saw blade guard is, does the flow from a 4" port and hose on it provide any significant benefit over it just having a 2.5"?

The amount of air captured by a 2.5" duct will be enough to capture most chips but unfortunately a spinning TS blade drags large amounts of fine (invisible) dust from under the table and sprays it around the front of the table so a larger volume of air than can be extracted by a 2.5" duct is needed to collect this dust. To drag lost s of air out of a hood requires large amount to get i to the hood. This is why the back of the hood should be left completely open - how many commercially available guards do this - not many.

So on a shark guard it would be beneficial getting it with a 4" instead of the 2.5"?
