    Default blast gate measurements.

Ive got the measurement of the 'tilt' blast gates but the std slide ones ...what size MDF do I make them from? 9mm x ?? X ?? and slides 3mm
SWMBO hopes to have the laser cutter working this weekend and Id love to have the round holes cut that way rather than stuffing about with a router.

All kind of answered but mot quite. Planning on both face plates (2) and (1) slide with the appropriate size holes what are my board sizes?

    Tonto,
I made some at work a while ago, so these sizes are going from memory.
I made one from 9mm, and one from 6mm MDF. If you're a bit heavy handed, I would make them from 9mm, but if you accept that the 6mm won't be as robust and treat it accordingly it will be fine. We've got a guy at work that is a bit heavy handed and managed to break the 6mm one.
    Main plate either side - 240mm x 240mm (160mm hole in centre)
Packers/rails - 240mm x 25mm + one layer of coke can for clearance (fitted along opposite edges of the main plate)
    Slide - 188mm x 460mm (152mm hole where req'd)
Slide handles - 188mm x 25mm (fitted at each end of the slide as a stop)

    Hope that helps
