Where to buy Flexible hose?
I'd like some 100mm, Carbatec sell it at $15/m but that seems pretty expensive for what it is. I'll use PVC pipe in the longer term but I just want a few meters of flex for now.

Also don't forget that if you could buy it cheaper and it had to be freighted/posted the extra cost is likely to be AT LEAST another $15. You're talking about 2 metres, $30.

When in big smoke couple of weeks ago, son in law needed some flexi pipe urgent for completely different project. I knew that Carbatec had it so trundled off across town. (yee gawds how you Adelaidians can handle that traffic) it was the same quality as Id had shipped from Timbcom to home earlier. It appears they (may) have improved

If it was wire ribbed I wouldn't mind so much but it's PVC ribs. I was thinking perhaps there's a ventilation product that could be used.

Ventilation products like the soft aluminised mylar ducting used for kitchen extractors and for AC ducting are too floppy. The higher air speeds needed for sawdust extraction will cause this ducting to flap and vibrate too much, cause turbulence and restrict air flow. Even the soft translucent polyurethane hoses have a noticeable difference compare to the stiff PVC hoses.
I have also experimented with black corrugated HDPE irrigation. The stuff I experimented with had very deep corrugations and made a lot of noise but I can't remember how it performed. I can't have been all that good otherwise I would have remembered.
I see Bunnings has this stuff now but you have to buy and 8m roll for $32

I have no idea how it would perform.

Where I live we have traffic congestion....twice a day for about 15 minutes each time. Junior primary, primary, high and catholic primary schools all in one block, poor little turds cant walk home so mumsy comes in her SUV and farts around knowing zip about reversing to pick the sods up.
Mind you I sometimes go for a drive around that time just to watch and have a laugh. so sorry off topic.I would love to grow my own food, but I can not find bacon seeds

Check out Ag suppliers. My father in law uses 2" flexi hose on some of his farm machinery and gets it from a local Ag supplier. I'm not sure on price but quality is good.
