    Default Buying 6" flex hose

I'm about to undertake the upgrade journey from 4" to a 6" setup so I need to buy some 6" flex hose. I've seen that Timbecon and Carbatec both carry it for $32-$34/m (CT out of stock at the moment), does anyone know if it's the same product, or is one better quality?

Are there other sources or better quality hose that I should consider?

Another newbie question if I may: how does the 6" flex hose best join to 150mm PVC? Does it fit over the end of the pipe itself, or does it fit onto (into?) a coupler piece?
I'm asking this now as I want to start making a bell-mouth inlet for my TS cabinet and I'd like to know which PVC section to glue in.

    Thanks for for your advice.

I as clearvueoz sell 152mm flexible hose for $34.00 per metre plus freight. The hose I sell will slip over normal 150mm pvc pipe. I think you will find that all flexible 6" hose is in fact 152 so should go outside PVC.

    Hi Cam,

Being NZ based, I can't help with Australian suppliers, but when I carried out a similar exercise recently, I found a local company which supplied 160 dia flex to match the PVC pipe OD. This company provides commercial dust control solutions, There should be something similar in you area ?

When I Google "duct and flex Australia" get a heap of hits...

    Regards Tim

I see you are from Perth so you might want to give this mob a try.
    http://www.westatehose.com.au/produc...xible-ducting/
There's quite a few to chose from

One potential problem is it looks like they sell the stuff by the 5 or 10m long coil - if you do check them out it would be worth knowing any details you come across.

    Thanks

Thanks for the replies. I contacted Westatehose and they sell the TPRD by the metre for $33.68 (inc GST), the other hoses I asked about are only in 10m lengths.

Plastiflex clear or grey are $195 (inc GST) for 10m
    Flexflow is $816.75 for 10m
Antistatic Dry Food grade is $709.28 for 10m

So if is anyone in Perth is interested in sharing a length of the clear Plastiflex perhaps we could get some?

I could be interested in at least 5m for the mens shed.
This is 6" diameter (152 mm right?
Let me check with the Mens shed.
