Buying duct components in Brisbane
My cyclone went in over the weekend, except for the wiring up which will happen soon.
Now comes the ducting. It will be done in 6 inch PVC storm water pipe and fittings.
Can anyone help me with suppliers? I live on the northside of Brisbane. Just trying to save some money. Plenty of suppliers around, but some charge like wounded buffalo. Much appreciate any suggestions about suppliers with good prices.
Also looking for suppliers of smooth bore 6 inch flexi hose.
UPDATED INFO. Since the original post above I have been quoted $88.94 for a 6M length of storm water pipe from one supplier, and $53.20 from another (incl. GST). That's a 40% reduction. Sure seems smart to shop around.
Thanks,Last edited by John Samuel; 15th October 2012 at 03:34 PM. Reason: Update

Paul,
Sorry about the tardy reply. Something has gone awry because I am no longer getting notified of posts to threads or PM's.
Can't help you with a motor and blower, I'm afraid. Apart from a couple of 1 HP DC's, the Clear Vue is my sole experience with dust extraction. I toyed with the idea of building my own cyclone using the plans from Bill Pentz, but it would have taken a long time and I was in a hurry to get my dust problem solved.
Cheerio!
