Default Carbatec 2hp Dust Extractor whine. How to fix? Not muffle.

Anyone know how to fix the extractor body (barrel) whine?
I'd and probably neighbors would feel a lot better if the whine wasn't so loud.
    Preferably removed.
With the intake hose detached the motor is silent.
With the hose connected is makes an awful whine.
Anyone know how to fix it.
Not enclosing it to muffle the sound.
    But actually fix this issue?
    Thanks,
    Barry G. Sumpter

The following is usually is more effective for rumble rather than whine but given its and easy thing to try it should be worth a go.
Attach some lead weights to the outside of any largish flat surface. Ideally you'd bolt or glue the weights on but you will get an idea if its going to work by clamping the weight to the surface.
Even just clamping across a set of flat surfaces might give you an indication.

Another treatment is to bolt small eg 3 x 20mm plastic strips across the flow on the exit walls of the impeller. Be aware that this can affect the air flow through the impeller.

Other way is to interposed a piece of 300mm smooth pipe between the flex and the impeller inlet.

    Had another go.

    It's the motor that whines.
The more resistance the more noise.
Whether the input port or the output port.
Walk down the drive and it's worse than standing right next to it.

    Bummer.
I was hoping it was the vibration agains the barrel center hole.
    Thanks,
