Default Which one Carbatec or Hafco Pleated Filter?

Hey guys im looking to upgrade my 2hp carbatec dust extractor CT-2042 finally to a pleated filter and im unsure which one i should get.

    Pleated Filter Cartridge (600mm) : CARBA-TEC

    W328 | FC-10 Filter Cartridge | machineryhouse.com.au

Does anyone own either of these and can tell me any of the pros or cons.
A little background info would help before i go to the stores and check them out.

    Cheers

I have the H&F one and am happy with it. Doubt whether there would be many members that own both so they can give you a comparison.

yeah i thought that would be the case of a member just owning one or the other, im mainly wondering what lead to the purchase of the chosen filter over another brand, because currently im leaning towards the hafco filter mainly because of price. how is the rotating paddle which removes the built up dust inside, what is it made of?, because ive read up that some paddles are made of a cheap cardboard, where as rubber/plastic is what you want.

    Hey Guys,

I wouldn't have thought that there would be that many factories making that sort of thing, (Same as the Machines themselves, you know Blue for him Yellow for you)
As ishtalk says, make sure the insides are the right stuff and all should be good.

    Just my 2c

If you already have the dust sucker, then half the decision could already be made for you - the fit on the cartridge filters is not universal. If you are mix-and-matching between brands, there is a fair chance that they have come from the same factory, but you will have to measure your existing plant accurately to make sure the diameters match up as well as the profile of the seals.

The CT filter says it is rated to 3 microns whereas the H&F says 1 micron but this doesn't mean much since neither state the efficiency at those micron ratings.

The H&F filter looks more like this CT filter and it is also about the same price and has the same micron rating.
