Default combination machine dust extraction upgrade, port and internals

I am in the process of upgrading my combination machine's port and internal . At the moment they are all 100mm. I want to achieve 150mm but this maybe a bit involving... especially the dust collection at the bottom of the saw as it is a cast iron unit

A bit dusty but you can see where the pvc joins with the cast iron exhaust. The cast iron molds into a conduit which it opens up and forms part of the dust collection. The smallest cross sectional area of this conduit is very small, it is about 100mm x 50mm, therefore I am not sure if it will make any differences at all if I increase ecerything else to 150mm. The maximum dust extraction is pretty much determined by this 100x50mm conduit. Anyone has done this before?

The external dust port is easier to upgrade in comparison

The dust extraction hood on the planer/thicknesser, not sure what can be done to increase it to 150mm? Has anyone done this before?

    Default

If it was me I would leave the current 100 mm ducting on that machines as it is as that will be very tricky to modify.

I would then add a 150 or another 100 mm duct somewhere on the side opposite to that big rectangular vent in the side of the machine - that will reduce the escape of the dust from inside the cabinet,

And then I would add a movable 100 mm duct to the top of the machine to use on the TS blade guard of other cutter guards.

    In terms of air flow 3 x 100 mm ducts = 1 x 150 mm duct.
