baltic: no valves, and don't know what you mean by cut point. Would be interested in hearing more.
la Huerta: medication sounds good: as long as it doesn't increase your grasp of reality. HeheThose are my principles, and if you don't like them . . . well, I have others.

Update: First emptying
Well, two-and-a-bit months and I emptied the cyclone for the first time today. Way better than emptying that damn bag twice every weekend.
Has run like a charm so far, with only a slight adjustment to the bottom wedges to get the lower bucket sealing properly.
Those are my principles, and if you don't like them . . . well, I have others.

Working well Zenwood.
Not sure what you do with your shavings & sawdust, but after my garden & lawn had its fill, I've been giving it away or dumping it. I therefore line my bin now with plastic bags and use a simple frame to hold it in place, so the bag doesn't get sucked up. Made from leftover electrical pipe and steel strapping (from crates etc).
