I'd like $120 but can be flexible and deliver to eastern suburbs for that price

Sounds like a good price - what sort of dimensions are we talking, and I assume that at that price there isn't a motor included?

yeah, no motor, blower, or housing.
20" dia. as per bill pentz design.
-I made it about a year ago, and at the time it was cheaper to get a fan and housing posted from clearvue than to just buy a fan here, and it should be moreso now but if you have a dc you can put this in the loop.
Headroom is the issue - i couldn't mount my 3hp (bigger than most 5hp, really heavy duty) on top and still have a collection bin underneath
Theoreticly the larger the cyclone the smaller the fan and motor that you can use and still get good separation so it should be good from 2hp/14" up, but there's so much on bill's site that it goes over my head

Hugh Looks like you did a pretty good job building your cyclone. Your cyclone looks round from the pics? It sounds like your bin at the bottom of the cyclone is not sealed properly which will cause poor suction at your machines and also poor seperation with some of the dust particals ending up through the outlet.

Its not just the cyclone that can impact on the performance of your system,

    Hi,
This is Ed Morgano from Clear Vue Cyclones. Because of the interest in our products and the number of inquiries that we get, we've decided to try to get a group buy together so we could cut down on the shipping costs...........if there is any interest in this. I've started a thread to handle this called Group buy of Dust Collectors.

    Hugh,
Actually a larger diameter cyclone will give you more CFM but not as good of separation because you are spinning the air slower....if that makes sense. But, it is a good compromise when you're using a smaller blower.

It wasnt as difficult to modify as I thought it would be.

    Welcome to the forum Ed.
