Dust extraction layout ideas wanted.
workshop plan.JPG
I have decided to go ahead with the CVMax to future proof myself, now comes the workshop floor plan and dust extraction design, I have attached the plan of my worksshop (garage), and the position of the proposed location for the CVMax.
I will be running 200mm mains and then branch off 150mm
If you cant see the image attached, it is a garage of 9m wide by 6 m deep. the garage door is at the north end.
there is a window at the south east corner, I plan to place the CVMax at this corner and vent out side. (any Advantage/disadvantage or do I actually achieve anything byvent out?)
Machine I have at the moment(some will be connected to the CVMax):
12 inch Dropsaw and the cabinets
Robland NX410 Pro combi machine (need a foot print of at least 5.5m x 5m )
drill press (probably dont need to connect to the CV)
I may add the following machines in future:
Wide belt sander (foot print is anywhere between 1800mm x 1100mm to 1800mm x 1600mm)
Bandsaw, not sure the foot print..
I am also considering sound attenuation ideas as my workshop creates a bit of noise and I am in a residential neighbourhood, basically the maximum noise my machine makes (at the boundary) is about 20 dBA-25dBA on top of the ambient noise.
any thoughts/comments welcomed!

Unless you vent outside you will need to fit a filter to the outlet otherwise the most health significant dust (low micron and submicron) will contaminate your shed. Venting outside enables this fine dust to be diluted into the much larger volume of the atmosphere. This is not really acceptable on an industrial scale but given the relatively small numbers of DIY WW around the burbs is low its impact on general human health will be much smaller than other risks.
