Dust Extraction shed project
Hi all, It was a wet windy day down here so I thought I would take the day to make a shed for the dusty to live in.
I had a couple of pallet tank's that were no longer being used so I took the cages, put one on top of the other and welded together.
I also welded on two door hinges before I cut out the door so they would be lined up easily.
I had various pieces of corrugated iron so they became the walls and roof.
It isn't the most amazing looking structure but with a coat of paint I think it will look ok!
It looks a lot like a old outside toilet so I think lots of people will open the door and get a surprise when they see the dusty!
I'll put pictures up so every one can see what I mean...

It does look like an outdoor dunny. Very cool, or most likely very hot in the summer time anyway.
How does the air get out of it?
I can't imagine it blocking a lot of noise but maybe that is not an issue for you?

I wasn't sure about ventilation in the dusty shed, should i put a vent somewhere? it has all the ridges of the corrugated iron roof open but I'm not sure if its enough.
Its going to live outside my workshop but it will be near the sliding door as thats the only spot it can fit. I will try and keep the door closed and I always work with a mask anyway. truth be told I got the dusty to help keep the shed clean, not so much for health reasons because I figure with this type of set up there will still be harmful dust in the air so I'll use the mask no matter what.
As for noise I live on a farm and my closest neighborers are over 1km away so it shouldn't matter. I would like to do away with the flexie hose connecting the extractor to the filter but thats a project for another day.

It should be more than enough for 4" ducting. Probably even enough for 6".
