Workzone Planer Thicknesser - spare part (Dust Extraction Hood)
Hi everyone, I was hoping someone might be able to help me out. I’ve got an Aldi Workzone Planer Thicknesser (bought it second hand after the guy only used it a few times) but he didn’t have the Dust extraction hood and I really need it.
I try to use it without it but it makes an EXTREME mess when I’m thicknessing a lot of boards.
Does anyone have any spare parts if they had one of these they’d be willing sell? I’ve tried contacting Aldi (of course the company who does their supplying does not have any supplies left of this obsolete item).
If anyone can help, I’d really appreciate it.
Thanks in advance

I used to have that machine as well. If it is the same it should actually not be too hard to make a hood yourself. I mean you should be able to fairly easy box it up and make an opening to hook up a dust extraction.
If you use the jointer planer on top you only need two boards left and right below really.
And for thicknesser a simple box on top.
I admit it might not be as good. The original hood had a curve in it to direct the chips, but better than nothing.
Just a thought.....
