Dust Extractors
I would like some advice on a couple of dust extractors for my small work area please.
I am looking at the Carba-tec 1Hp Economy Extractor at $229 up from $198 last year and the Toolex 1HP at $219.
Both have 5 micron bags, and plastic or PVC catchment bags. The Carba-tec has 10 replacement plastic bags at 10 $16.00 and the Toolex has 5 PVC bags at $32.00.
Both machines have the impeller at mid line on the unit.
Both machines are designed to work on one worksop machine at a time, which is fine as it is my thicknesser that is the most messy.
Cost is a factor, as is suitability.
I just now noticed that the Carba-tec has a 3 year warranty.
Both are made in China.
The smaller, at the same cost ($229) under bench one is not suitable for the amount of shavings that comes from my thicknesser as I use lots of recycled timber that needs trimming up.
Thank you in anticipation.Last edited by Black Bear; 1st April 2009 at 09:56 AM. Reason: typos
