Extraction Layout
/Jaws music...

To add to the 1001 things to do list for the shed: Dust Extraction. I've asked Ezi-duct for an idea of their 150mm ducting prices so I can compare with PVC.
I currently have a 2kW extractor, which I'll start off with until I can get around to building a cyclone. It's all going to go into a sound-softening enclosure outside the left wall of the shed.
The shed has been an awkward development - from compound-sloped enclosed carport thing with a hole-y roof to something clean, level and useable. I have levelled two sections of floor so far (I originally thought a 3x3m space would be plenty for woodworking... oh how we laugh). I'll get around to doing the white section in the pic below, just as soon as I've got the cabinets and bench for the top section built. I'm having to work around tools and 'stuff' as I have nowhere else to put them while I build. It's painful.
Unfortunately, the floor was so steeply sloped that I've had to put a step in the middle of the floor, or I'd end up with a 400mm step at the rollerdoor. This limits moving machines around - the A31 is currently sitting on the top level area, but I think it will need to move down the step once I've levelled that bit so I can deal with longer stock.
I'd like some advice and ideas of where to run the ducting. Pic below has an idea of layout, and where the machines are currently lurking - nothing apart from the top section bench is fixed at the moment. I haven't decided where things like the bandsaw and little milling machine will go yet. I can move it all around though.
Ducting around the edges would be nice and neat, but it would mean a pretty long ducting run, and several 90 deg bends. Maybe in the centre of the lower left section, and then up along the left wall? If it's along the centre, then I'll end up with several branches, so may not end up with less ducting or fewer angles...
I think I'll keep the right wall for storage cabinets, so probably don't need to go around there.
I think something flexible to the middle of the lower floor would be useful. That way I can move things like the jointer or bandsaw out to sort out long stock, and then move them back to more space-friendly normal work/resting places.
Any thoughts and ideas welcome.

As it's not that big a shed I'd keep it simple by running a trunk line from the DC across the middle of the lower half of the shed above the TS and BS and use Y's for take offs to the other Machines.

Almost the same as Bob's suggestion. Swap the dust collector for the compressor and run the duct along the wall above the lathe, wyes as needed. I would ditch some of the counter space unless you have smaller machines on them. How much headroom do you have?
