Fein Dustex-2 vs Festool CT-midi
At the moment I desperately want a dust extractor in my garage, and I want to buy the Fein multimaster top set as well. I can either buy the Fein multimaster top set extra which include the Dustex-2, or just buy the top set and get the Ct-midi.
In term of money, the Fein bundle looks very attractive cos only the CT-midi draw over $750.00 from bank account. I compare the spec of the 2 dust extractor they are very similar. Anyone know if the Fein Dustex-2 is capable for other general power tool use ?

The Dustex II does not have the variable suction of the CT-Midi which is important if you are using one of the sanders. Though it is much quieter and comes with the general vacuuming attachments as standard. My Dustex has had no problems coping with my TS55 so far but it's early days.
I picked one up this week as part of a 'Top Extra' package for $860 so I'm pretty happy. It will tide me over until the Festool CT 26 or 36's are available in a couple of months...

I went to VEK tool and the guy recommended me to get the Protool vacuum instead of Dustex (and they didn't have stock), so I bought the fein top kit + Protool 170 vacuum for $920, still a good price. So far I'm happy with the combination.
Thanks for the info anyway
