Keepinbg the lower flat bags would help/assist air flow but one they fill with sawdust, then less so, especially if you are planning on using pleated filters on top.
I cut the 3 4” fittings off the front of it, and opened it up to 6”, I would have liked to use the 8” opening, but I am buggered if I can find 8” duct and fittings here in NZ
You could improve things a little by using a flared inlet (reverse bell mouth hood) like this.

Yes it will be interesting.
Your limit is still going to be the 6" intake.
According to the online manual it says the fan is only 12" but that can be right, have you measured it?

I did see the 12” in the manual, their website says 355mm, the tape measure says the same, and it has 14” stamped on the impeller

The Ecogoo VFD arrived yesterday along with the new controller from Auto Blast Gates, thanks to NCArcher who sorted out some instructions to program the VFD I gave it a test run today, it’s all running well, and I just need to move it to the Dusty shed and replace the current one

Can you run it with the impeller open and report back on the current drawn?
That will give us an idea of how many horses it really is using.

I did some testing today, with the 200mm inlet it pulls 5.65A, and with the 150mm it pulls 5.4A, that’s running at 60Hz

That was the 3P output
The input @50Hz
150mm outlet 10.64A
200mm outlet 11.12A
Input @60Hz
150mm outlet 14.02A
200mm outlet 14.70A

Thanks - that looks fairly consistent ie a 20% increase in speed should require ~40% more energy/current.
I would have thought it would draw a bit more current with the larger outlet especially at 60Hz
Those currents suggest the motor is develop between 3 and 4HP so the DC appears to be impeller size limited.
At 50Hz a motor developing a full 5HP should draw about 17A.
I suspect the shortish PFs may also be constraining the flow - very carefully and briefly you could try running without the filters and see what current it draws at 50Hz - you may trip the breaker at 6OHz.
Ultimately the limit is going to be 6" ducting.
The main thing is the motor with a 5HP rating should long term cope with 60Hz just fine.
How's the noise?

I’m not sure of the noise yet, as I have just fired it up in the Shed to test it, I don’t think it will be too loud once it’s in the dusty enclosure.
What power factor do you use for 3PH induction motor calcs ?.
The Input is 245v so that might change the calcs slightly
I ran it without 1 of the filters, and the 150mm intake
The input side pulled 10.62A @50Hz and 18.04A @60Hz
So it does look like the filters are restricting it a bit
I had worked it out to be around 4.2HP @60Hz using a PF of .8 or 4.7 using a PF of .9

It didn’t look right to me either, so I just tested it again with a filter off and got 10.8A @50Hz
Strange thing is I got 5.4A @60Hz on the 3Ph side with the filter off, which is the same as with the filter on
I am guessing there is is little to no restriction with the filters on and it running @50Hz
