Can anyone help with the hz (sound) of dust extractor?
I have bought some sound deadening batts for the small shed where the dust extractor is located.
I have the technical specifications of the batts but I do not know the general frequency noise in order to do the maths. Can anyone have a stab at what hz the noise would be for a 3hp 12" impeller dust collector?

The frequency output of a DC is fairly broad.
Here's is one of my frequency scans, this is the noise made by the DC with the DC enclosure door open,
The peak frequencies are in the 200 to 700 Hz range

Remember perceived sound levels are strongly frequency dependent so you need to take this into account. For most people, 1kHz is the most sensitive and irritating frequency so I would suggest selecting a frequency close to that (ie 700Hz) rather than the lower end of that range.

Bob, out of curiosity - how far from the DC did you take the sound measurements?
I think most of us are pretty responsible and probably overly conscious at times about the impact we may be having on our neighbours with the sound we generate from our wood working / turning hobby. Not a bad thing mind you. Trying to get a handle on how invasive the noise we generate is to our neighbours is difficult.
I have asked our neighbours to please come and ask me to stop if my noise is disturbing them so we can come to a mutually acceptable agreement on time/s of use etc as I know one works shiftwork. Where we live we are less that 500m from the local Pub with some significant trees in between. Mostly noise is not an issue from the pub at all - until the "duf duf" bands play. As you point out the low frequency noise is the most imposing. We also have a neighbour 60m away who has a ducted vacuum system installation and our immediate neighbours say the noise from it is louder and more imposing than my DC.
I've swapped out my thicky to a Sherwood helical head unit, changed blades on my TS as the quality brand ones I had howled on my TS, and have made various other changes to machinery, times of use, etc even though I have not been asked to, or told that what I am doing is an issue for neighbours. Simply being proactive to prevent potential issues.
So I'm keen to see how T's DC enclosure performs as I am considering upgrading my DC to a larger unit in an enclosure.Mobyturns

I didn't pay particular attention to any distance because all the OP wanted to know was the frequency distribution of the sound. I think I had the meter just outside the enclosure doorway which would have been maybe 250mm?

The most difficult of our neighbours is over the back which is where the DC enclosure is located. When I built my enclosure my goal was for not to be equal tor or better noise wise to his pool pump which I managed to achieve. His pool was just over the back fence with about a metre of dense garden (ferns/palns etc) between his pool and the back fence. Just recently I notice he had completely removed the garden but I have not hear anything from him although I have also not been in the shed that much for the last few months. DUrin g the weekdays there no problems as these neighbour both work away from the house as do the neighbours up the street. The ones down the street run a business from home so they are often around. The upstream neighbours are also big leaf blower/sucker users and on Sunday arvo at about 3-4pm they use one for about an hour - I should take some noise levels reading because its quite loud in our back yard.
What is REALLY LOUD is when I have sometimes done some small chainsaw milling at home in the back yard. These logs are short, <500 long, and <400mm wide, so the CS is not running for that long (<1min) at any one time, Breaking up one of these log requires maybe 6-7 cuts.
