Default Hose that connects cyclone to bin

    Hi everyone,
I have a cyclone seperater that has about an 1and 3/4 hose that connects from my he cyclone to the bin underneath.
What is the function of this hose, I don’t use bags and I was thinking of plugging up the hole and removing the hose. It is difficult to empty with the hose attached.
    Thanks in advance

    Tony

That hose is to stop the bag from getting sucked up - so if you're not using bags, then remove the hose and plug up both openings.

Some collectors use the smaller hose to draw the air from the space between the bin and a bag so the bag doesn't collapse and get sucked up into the cyclone. If you don't want it cap off both ends and you are good to go. Just make sure the bin is completely sealed. Air leaks will cause dust to bypass the cyclone and go directly to the filters.
